2025: The Year That Built the Champions Gym Fight Team
January 30, 2026 | Muay Thai
At the end of every year, it’s important to slow down.
To sit back.
To reflect.
Because 2025 was one to remember.
For the Champions Gym Fight Team, this wasn’t just a year of fights — it was a year of firsts, of growth, of commitment, and of people choosing to step into discomfort in pursuit of something bigger than themselves.
First Steps Into the Ring
In 2025, we watched a solid, dedicated group of members step into the ring for the very first time — making their debuts in Boxing and Muay Thai.
For many, this moment had been months (or years) in the making. Early mornings. Late nights. Doubt. Fear. Courage.
Three women made their boxing debuts at Queen of the Ring, showing exactly what it means to lead from the front.
Five members of our team took the ultimate leap and fought in Thailand — the heart of Muay Thai itself:
Renee
Whitney
Zach
Alex
Kayla
Different journeys. Same bravery.
More Than Physical Transformations
Yes, we saw physical transformations.
But what mattered more was the mental shift.
The confidence built.
The discipline created.
The belief earned.
Preparing for a fight doesn’t just change your body — it reshapes how you think, how you show up, and how you handle life outside the gym.
The Comeback That Meant Everything
One of the most powerful moments of the year was Whitney stepping back into the ring for her second comeback after baby number two.
She won.
But more importantly, she proved something far bigger than a result.
Too many people get caught up in the win/loss destination and forget the journey — the moments that make this sport so special.
The early mornings.
The hard conversations.
The days you want to quit but don’t.
That’s the real victory.
One Day, We’ll Look Back
One day, when we’re old, we’ll look back and realise:
These were the best days of our lives.
The most alive we ever felt.
The most determined.
The most focused.
The most disciplined.
Because every fight builds a new version of you.
Built On and Off the Mats
At Champions Gym, we don’t just build fighters.
We build habits.
We refine technique.
Sharpen skills.
Improve nutrition.
Strengthen mindset.
Every training session is a chance to become 1% better — not just as an athlete, but as a person.
Fighting Is Solo — Growth Is Not
Fighting may be a solo sport, but no one gets there alone.
It’s the community that keeps you moving forward — especially on the days you can’t be bothered.
Thursday night pad rounds when your body is wrecked from the week.
Thai bangers blasting.
Teammates pushing you for just one more.
Shark Tank rounds that everyone hates — but everyone needs.
Because that’s where the grit is built for the final 30 seconds of the final round.
The Blue Army
Behind every fighter is a crowd that believes in them.
That’s our Blue Army.
A force.
A community.
A team with values we live by:
- Leave your ego at the door
- No dickheads
- Sweep the sheds — because no one is too big for the small jobs
- Aim to be 1% better every single day
Control what you can.
Stack the small wins.
When the small wins stack up, the big wins follow.
The Coaches Behind It All
None of this happens without our coaches.
Selfless. Experienced. Battle-tested.
They show up daily.
Put their bodies on the line.
Pass on hard-earned lessons.
Not just to make better fighters — but better people.
We are incredibly lucky to have every single one of them.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we step into 2026, one thing is clear:
We’ve laid a strong foundation.
And we’re only getting started.
The journey continues — and the best is still to come.
